About Me

About Child of Bast

There is something very uplifting in writing about my practice and maintaining a small informational site dedicated to a Goddess.  I had purchased this domain name on a whim with intention of creating a cat behaviorist practice.  Nothing came of it, and so I decided that it would be a perfect domain name to use for this website dedicated to Bast-Mut.  Now it serves as both an informational hub as well as a blog about my experiences.

Note that the opinions and information expressed on this blog are not an official word of the House of Netjer.  I urge you to visit both their website as well as their fourms.

About Me

I am Tawa’ubastmut, a name given to me by Bast-Mut Herself, meaning ‘Bast-Mut’s soldier’.  I hold it very dear to my heart and it’s a big part of who I am.  I was introduced to Her in the Rite of Parent Divination of the Kemetic Orthodox House of Netjer, in which I became a shemsu and vowed to serve Her and my beloved gods Mafdet and Heru-sa-Aset. I was divined on December 30th 2014 and named the following day, the 31st.    As of May 16th 2018, Djehuty has joined in as a third beloved, and August 4th 2018 had me speaking my vows to become a Shemsu-Ankh.

When I’m not singing the praises of my Mother, I am a professional tarot card reader, a Reiki practitioner, an artist, as well as a full time flight attendant.

I have four indoor cats who are like children to me, and someday I long to volunteer some time towards helping other felines in need.

Thank you for visiting!
